The Penang Ultra 100K was officially launched by the Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Lim Guan Eng, and has the distinction of being the first ultra-marathon to be held in Penang, Malaysia.
Taking place on Sept 6, 2014, the Penang Ultra 100K comprises 3 categories: the 50km Ultra, 84km Round Island & 100km Challenge. The event is organised by BetterPenang (eYouth Association NGO) and ActifeStyle Concept, and co-organised by the Penang State Government and Penang Island Municipal Council.
The Penang Ultra 100K aims to have a fun, challenging and safe endurance race in Penang and also to give marathoners a challenge to break the marathon distance.
